List Submission & Round 1 Pairing – Houndpack Lance on the Hunt
With list submission done and round one pairing revealed, I’m here to share my army, my goals for the event, and who I’ll be facing first!
The List – Sanctuary Houndpack Lance (1995pts)
I’m running Chaos Knights, Strike Force (2000pts), in the Houndpack Lance detachment.
That means one thing: a whole lot of War Dogs.

Round 1 Pairing – The Emperor’s Finest
I’m up against Adeptus Custodes (Shield Host):
- 3 Blade Champions (each leading a Warden squad)
- Trajann Valoris with 5 Custodian Guard
- 4 Witchseekers
- 3x2 Allarus Terminators
- Caladius Assassin
A solid, balanced Custodes list built around some of their strongest units.
The mission is Search and Destroy, Hidden Supplies on UKTC terrain – should be an interesting matchup.
Goals for the Event
Aside from enjoying three fun games, I’d love to finish with a 2-1 record. I’m still fairly early in my reps with Houndpack Lance, so I expect I’ll be learning (and making mistakes) every round.
Right now, the meta feels rough on vehicles – lots of armies are tuned to punish them, which means War Dogs need to play carefully. Still, I’m excited to see how the list performs on the table.
