Since discussing my hobby plans in my last blog post here and with the Chaos Knights 11th Edition reveals live on Warhammer Community, I've been making a real push to get some hobby progress under my belt.
The first job was finishing off the remaining weapon options for my War Dogs. Every War Dog in my collection is fully magnetised, allowing me to swap loadouts depending on what the army needs. With that in mind, I built several additional Chaincannons, as they were by far my least-used weapon option throughout 10th Edition, now to get them painted.
I've also spent a fair bit of time trawling eBay, winning some auctions and losing plenty of others along the way. One area I was completely lacking in was Cultists, so that became my main focus. Thankfully, I've now picked up enough models to comfortably field 60 Cultists if required.
Alongside that, I've started gathering the pieces needed to create some budget-friendly alternatives for units that could become important in 11th Edition. Accursed Cultists are high on that list, along with a couple of key characters, particularly a Dark Commune and a Cultist Firebrand. Having these options ready to go should give me plenty of flexibility once the new edition lands.
Of course, collecting and building models is only half the battle. I've got a tournament coming up in a couple of weeks, so now it's time to get some paint on these models and see how much of the backlog I can clear before dice start rolling.
